Abstract

In this study, we used the technique of input-output analysis (I-O-A) as an analysis tool in quantitative economics in order to analyze sectoral intertwining by understanding the interrelationships of influence between the various constituent branches of the national economy, and to identify the leading sectors in the development process. The results of the study, after calculating the matrix of technical coefficients of production and deriving its inverse, and by estimating the contribution of the productive sectors to the total output of the Algerian economy, and after calculating the multipliers of production for the economic sectors, that there are three leading sectors, led by the hydrocarbons branch, followed by the water and energy branch, then the agriculture, fishing and forestry branch..
