Abstract

This study aimed to identify the role of risk management in banks and its reflection on their performance, where we took the bank of agriculture and rural development and the agency of médéa as a model for the Algerian commercial banks, and in order to reach this goal, a questionnaire was used and directed to 25 employees of the bank under study. One of the most important results obtained was the presence of a statistically significant effect of risk management in improving performance in the bank under study, the study also recommended the need to work on developing adequate policies, laws and procedures capable of protecting the bank from risk, and in order to improve performance and advance it to advanced levels of sophistication.
