The impact of PQRST strategy on EFL learners' reading comprehension: The case of second year English students at Medea University

Abstract

This research is about the influence of PQRST strategy on Algerian EFL learners’ reading comprehension: the case of second year English students at Medea University. It aims to find out whether the PQRST strategy has a negative or positive impact on students’ reading comprehension of narrative texts. This study is an experimental research. The sample of this research is two groups of second year English students. The first group is the control group and the second group is the experimental group. In this research, the data are collected quantitatively. These data are collected through questionnaire, pre-test, and post-test. The questionnaire is used to discover the problems that students face in reading comprehension. The pre-test and post-test are administrated to answer the research questions
