Abstract

The aim of this study was to highlight the role played by banking governance in reducing risks and activating the performance of banks. The questionnaire technique was used to identify the opinions of employees in the banking agencies in the state of Medea about the variables of the study and then to analyze them using the statistical program "spss17" There is a positive role to apply the principles of banking governance in reducing risk and activating the performance of the banking agencies under study. The study also proved that the banking agencies under study still have not reached the required level in establishing the principles of governance.
