Abstract
Tourism is one of the most important activities upon which the achievement
of economic development relies. That thanks to its sustainability and its
bringing to the foreign currency without the refuge to the export, and the
plans and policies of development of the tourism sector of the most important
operational tools obtained is to develop this activity, by creating increasing
demand over time, without events a defect in the tourist market as a result of
the failure of supply or demand.
The development in the plans and the policy to develop the tourism sector is
the most important tools used in the development of this activity through the
creation of a growing demand all over time, Without causing an imbalance in
the tourist market as a result of the failure of supply and demand.
This research, through settling a model, which aims to reveal the size of the
excess supply in the future, for every month and during three years, we can
identify the way how the supply evaluate through the time either in the
increase or the decrease as compared to the evolution of demand for the bed
nights in the peak seasons with the other months of the year and for several
years.
The analysis of research concerning the demand for bed nights, relied on
several criteria, including the standard for the classification of hotels, the
standard of the purpose of the visit and the standard of touristic seasons and
the standard of the rate of the
occupied beds per day for the north-central pole .The research came up with
the conclusion of the existence of three types of gaps (surplus in supply),
which is the up and down and a stable gap where most of the states of the
pole have witnessed surpluses in supply progressively over the time, which
will reflect negatively on the performance of the hotels in the long term
because of the nature of the costs sustained by the hotel, which is
characterized by stability All this is due to the weakness in the tourism sector
as a result of the lack of genuine schemes and development policies. It Aims
to create a tourist demand out of the demand that occurs in the peak seasons
regarded as an automatic request other than the development policies of the
sector.
We suggested , at the end , solutions designed to reduce the surplus in supply,
and make it decreasing over the time by the creation of a demand in other
months or reducing the supply all along with inhibiting the demand, what
goes with accounting results.
