Abstract

The knowledge Becomes the mainfeature of advanced societies in recent years, and the transition to a knowledge-based economy becomes absolutely necessary in light of the tremendous progress in the field of information and communication technology, so we tried in this study to shed more light on the importance of knowledge for companies and governments as the first core of the knowledge society, which in turn, will host and support the transition to a knowledge-based economy. So, for the state that wants to switch to this economy should pass through several steps and strategies such as curriculum development, development and improvement of the infrastructure, giving more importance to intellectual capital, bridging the knowledge gap and benefit from the experiences of countries that have made big steps in the transition to the knowledge economy. We have tried through the practical side to do a comparative study between Algeria and the United Arab Emirates, we reached through it that there is a large gap between the two countries, considering the recent have gone a big step in the field of knowledge-based economy that has enabled it to get the first laying between Arab countries according to World Bank statistics, and that what makes us insist on the need to accelerate the speed of work to reform existing deficiencies and to increase investment and modify strategies that would lead Algeria to assume a high position in this new economy.
