Abstract

The study aimed to highlight the role of the strategic information system in improving the performance of the organization, where the research problem came represented in the following question: What is the role of the strategic information system in improving the performance of the organization? In order to reach the goal of the study to do so, the descriptive analytical method was relied on in the theoretical aspect, while in the practical aspect, by reliance on the distribution of a questionnaire, as we distributed a form to an easy sample for the study represented by the employees of the maintenance unit of the National Company for the production of pumps and valves Bouval in Al-Barawaqiah. The results of the study showed a statistically significant effect of the dimensions of the strategic information system on the performance of the organization at the level (a = 0.05) within the poval industrial establishment in Al-Bouraqia, as well as the absence of statistically significant differences at the level (a -0.05) in the strategic information system variable due to Personal and functional data (gender, age, educational level, years of experience), to later present some suggestions to the bank management through which their performance can be improved through strategic information systems.
