Abstract

Export behavior is given special attention by many researchers, businessmen, and public authorities in both developed and developing countries, where export activity is an important strategy to achieve economic growth, and through what this study deals with measuring the impact of exports on economic growth in Algeria given Because of the great importance that exports occupies in the national economy, they are considered the main and almost the only source of hard currencies and play the main role as the main engine of development and the locomotive of economic growth. This is to know the importance of the country's foreign trade to support its economic growth by focusing on exports and economic growth by analyzing the current reality of the Algerian economy and the challenges it faces and highlighting the most important factors that affect the economic growth rates achieved in Algeria, as well as demonstrating the importance and ways of developing and diversifying exports and their impact on growth. A standard model made up of GDP has been reported. Representing economic growth as a dependent variable and two explanatory variables, which are the export variable and the import variable using Autoregressive Models "ARDL" technique. The results showed the significance of exports and imports as explanatory variables for economic growth
