Abstract

Study summary: This study aims to investigate the psychological and social compatibility of the University students during COVID-19. In addition to studying the dissimilarities between the mentioned category in terms of the demographic changes (Gender, faculty, system and level). The study was performed on 80 students of the humanistic social science and science and technology faculties at Yahia Fares University of Medea. In order to answer the research problem, we have relied on the following hypothesis: 1- There is a low degree in the psychological and social compatibility of the humanistic social science and science and technology faculties during COVID-19. 2- The psychological and social compatibility differs according to the student's gender. 3- The psychological and social compatibility differs according to the humanistic social science faculty and science and technology faculty. 4- The psychological and social compatibility differs according to License students and Master students. 5- The psychological and social compatibility differs according to the internal system and external system. As far as the data gathering are concerned, two questionnaires were administrate about COVID-19, using the descriptive analytical approach; Henceforth, the following results were obtained: 1. The psychological and social compatibility between the two faculties is medium. 2. the psychological and social compatibility differs according to the student's gender. 3. The psychological and social compatibility degree differs between the two faculties 4. the psychological and social compatibility does not differ whether they are License or Master students 5- the psychological and social compatibility does not differ because of the external or internal system.
