الملخص: يشير التاريخ إلى أن الطب في الأندلس كان متقدما للغاية خلال الفترة الإسلامية، وكان علماء المسلمين يتمتعون بمعرفة واسعة بالأدوية والعلاجات الطبية، وتعاونوا إلى حد كبير في تنمية المعرفة الطبية وتطويرها. كان الطبيب أبو القاسم خلف بن عباس الزهراوي واحد من أبرز الأطباء الذين ساهموا في تطوير الطب في الأندلس، وقد اشتهر خصوصا في مجال الجراحة حتى أنه أبدع في هذا المجال، ونجد أن أعظم إنجازاته تمثلت في موسوعته الطبية " التصريف لمن عجز عن التأليف، حيث اعتبر هذا الكتاب مرجعا أساسيا لدى الباحثين في علم الطب في ذلك الوقت، ونجد أن بعض النظريات والأدوات الطبية التي استخدمها الزهراوي لاتزال تستعمل إلى يومنا هذا، هذا ما يدل على عظمة إنجازاته الطبية. باختصار كان الطب في الأندلس الإسلامية قد تطور بشكل كبير وأصبح للأطباء الأندلسيين مكانة مرموقة في العلوم الطبية العالمية وكان الطبيب الزهراوي من بين أبرز هؤلاء الأطباء.
