Abstract: The rapid pace of the technological revolution has profoundly impacted every aspect of human life, transforming the ways in which we work, learn, and coexist. Artificial intelligence (AI) stands at the forefront of this transformation, witnessing remarkable advancements and expanding its applications across diverse sectors, including security, environment, research, education, health, culture, commerce, and law, alongside the intricate utilization of big data. These developments underscore the pressing need for legal intervention to address the challenges posed by AI surveillance systems, particularly in the context of automated decision-making. Such interventions are crucial to mitigate potential threats to fundamental rights, notably the right to privacy, as AI surveillance systems increasingly wield significant influence in decision-making processes. Ces développements soulignent le besoin urgent d'intervention légale pour aborder les défis posés par les systèmes de surveillance par IA, en particulier dans le contexte de la prise de décision automatisée. De telles interventions sont cruciales pour atténuer les menaces potentielles pesant sur les droits fondamentaux, notamment le droit à la vie privée, car les systèmes de surveillance par IA exercent de plus en plus une influence significative dans les processus de prise de décision.
