| dc.description.abstract | As part of this final-year project, a study was conducted to optimize the operational efficiency of the hydrodesulfurization (HDT) process within the desulfurization unit (UDS) using the simulation tool Aspen HYSYS. A deep understanding of simulation mechanisms and a systematic optimization approach were applied to enhance the sulfur removal efficiency from petroleum fractions. The system's behavior was accurately predicted under various operating conditions, such as temperature, feed flow rate, molar flow rate, heat exchanger efficiency, and air-to-acid gas ratio achieve effective sulfur elimination | |
