| dc.description | نظرا إلى التصاعد السريع في العالم لفئة كبار السن، حيث تخطى عددهم المليار شخص سنة 2019 بنسبة 13.2%ويتوقع أن يزداد عددهم إلى 2.1 مليار شخص سنة 2050، لذلك لابد من توفير حماية قانونية كافية لهذه الفئة في ظل القانون الدولي من أجل تعزيز وحماية حقوقهم وحرياتهم الأساسية، ومن خلال هذا البحث توصلنا إلى أن القانون الدولي وفق نوعا ما في توفير حماية قانونية للمسنين في جملة من المواثيق الدولية والإقليمية وحتى الوطنية والتي سعت في تحقيق الحماية اللازمة لهذه الأخيرة. الكلمات المفتاحية: كبار السن، القانون الدولي، الحماية القانونية. Abstract: Given the rapid increase in the elderly population worldwide, with their number surpassing one billion in 2019 (representing 13.2%), and it is expected to rise to 2.1 billion by 2050, it is essential to provide adequate legal protection for this group under international law to promote and protect their fundamental rights and freedoms. Through this research, we found that international law has somewhat succeeded in providing legal protection for the elderly through various international, regional, and even national conventions aimed at ensuring the necessary protection for this demographic. Résumé : ?tant donné l'augmentation rapide de la population âgée dans le monde, avec un nombre dépassant le milliard de personnes en 2019 (soit 13,2%), et ce nombre devrait atteindre 2,1 milliards d'ici 2050, il est essentiel de fournir une protection juridique adéquate à cette catégorie dans le cadre du droit international afin de promouvoir et protéger leurs droits et libertés fondamentaux. ? travers cette recherche, nous avons constaté que le droit international a réussi, dans une certaine mesure, à fournir une protection juridique aux personnes âgées grâce à divers instruments internationaux, régionaux et même nationaux visant à garantir la protection nécessaire à cette dernière.
