Translation is still one of the most controversial subjects in modern Arab culture. Aside from the well-known issues that contribute to the Arab world's translation dilemma, digital technology has changed the laws of the game almost entirely. Translation, in the traditional sense, is no longer accessed through paper and books but via screens in documentaries, movies, TV shows, and online. This is the world of audio-visual translation. In the audio-visual translation, dubbing translates and describes the language that the audience wants to hear. Along with that, it also helps to give meaning to the voice of everyone. Using the qualitative case study approach, this thesis highlights a fundamental aspect of translation strategies used in dubbed documentaries on the National Geographic Abu Dhabi channel, to provide credible data from direct observations of the specific entity concerned. These discoveries shed light on the input mechanisms. The tools chosen to carry out this study were a case study, use of literature (previously reviewed), and documentary evidence as appropriate adding close observation. The findings of this thesis point out and analyze when the audio-visual translators use different translating strategies to omit, change or add information to the target text in order to be accepted and not foreignized by the Arab audience.fr
