The effect of deferent concentration of Essential oil of Melissa offisinalis (lemon balm) and cloves against Varroa destructor

Abstract

The objective of our work is to highlight bioacaricidal activity of the essential oils of Melissa ofissinalis and clove against varroa. Essential oil of nails Cloves and melissa dried leaves was obtained by steam distillation using a Clevenger-type system. The investigation was designed to determine the chemical composition and acaricidal effects of oil,by using three concentrations 10%, 15%, 25% of our essential oil that was diluated with the tween 80, and a negative and a positive control ,the commercial product (organic naturel strip for varroa).the treatment application was in 15 beehives , 3beehives for one concentration. Our result shows a good effectiveness in varroa mortality comparing it by the commercial product (organic naturel strip for varroa).
