يعود تاريخ الدبلوماسية إلى عصور غابرة فقد عرفتها الحضارات القديمة مثل الحضارة اليونانية، الحضارة الرومانية، الحضارة البيزنطية، وصولا إلى الحضارة العربية الإسلامية، وللدبلوماسية أنواع مثل دبلوماسية القمة، دبلوماسية الأزمات، دبلوماسية التحالف والدبلوماسية الأمنية، ويعد النظام القانوني للمبعوثين الدبلوماسيين من أول النظم القانونية الدولية التي استمدت مصدرها من العرف الدولي طبقا للمادة 38 من النظام الأساسي لمحكمة العدل الدولية، ثم من المعاهدات والاتفاقيات حيث تعتبر اتفاقية فيينا للعلاقات الدبلوماسية الصادرة في عام 1961 مصدرا أساسيا من مصادر القانون الدبلوماسي ثم من الاجتهاد القضائي، حيث تعتبر اجتهادات وفتاوى المحاكم من مصادر القانون الدبلوماسي. الكلمات المفتاحية: العلاقات الدبلوماسية، المبعوثين الدبلوماسيين، العرف الدولي، اتفاقية فيينا. Summary: The history of diplomacy goes back to ancient times. It was known by ancient civilizations such as the Greek civilization, the Roman civilization, the Byzantine civilization, and all the way to the Arab-Islamic civilization. Diplomacy has types such as summit diplomacy, crisis diplomacy, coalition diplomacy, and security diplomacy. The legal system for diplomatic envoys is considered one of the first. International legal systems that derive their source from international custom in accordance with Article 38 of the Statute of the International Court of Justice, then from treaties and agreements, where the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations issued in 1961 is considered a primary source of diplomatic law, then from judicial jurisprudence, as it is considered jurisprudence.
