Modern electrical networks have undergone significant transformations to accommodate various generation sources like gas turbines, wind turbines, and photovoltaic panels. Smart grids play a crucial role in managing electricity transmission from these diverse sources while coordinating the needs of loads with the capabilities of generators. Solid-state transformers are a key component of smart grids, specifically designed for efficient coordination and transmission. These transformers are modular and can be divided into three sections: achv to dchv using a modular multilevel converter mmc, dchv to dclv using a dual active bridge, and finally dclv to aclv utilizing a simple inverter. This modular design allows them to adapt to different generation sources. This report delves deeper into the mmcand its functionalities within the solid-state transformer systemfr_FR
