Abstract

This study attempts to get acquainted with the topic of social protection and give an insight into social security in Algeria and how it can be run from its inception to the goal of introducing the most important reforms to it. For social security funds, which are at the heart of the matter, as the process of balancing the expenditures and revenues of social security institutions is a real problem as a result of the continuous rise in compensation and entitlements of social insurance, in light of the limited sources of funding, especially in times of economic crises . Therefore, Algerian social security institutions seek through their activities and services to achieve an increase in their financial resources at the expense of their expenses and the sustainability of this situation in a manner that guarantees the provision of the best type of services to its insured. Therefore, this study aims to identify this financial situation of the social security sector in general Algeria and the National Pension Fund for the state of Medea in particular. This is by showing the development of the volume of resources and expenditures for Algerian social security institutions.
