This study conducts an exergo-environmental analysis of a Carnot Battery system based on Power-to-Heat-to-Power (PTES) principles, aiming to assess its effectiveness in integrating renewable energy and minimizing waste. A MATLAB model was developed to simulate system components, using energy and exergy balances along with life cycle assessment (LCA). The system employs R245fa and water as working fluids. A parametric study evaluated the impact of operating conditions on performance, highlighting components with major exergy destruction and environmental impact, thus showcasing the relevance of the exergo- environmental approach
