Abstract
In the search for alternative solutions to chemical control based on the use of products bio-insecticide in order to combat Tribolium castaneum and Callosobruchus maculates.
The objective of this present study is to test the bio-insecticide effect of the various extracts of Atropa belladonna on adults of Tribolium castaneum and Callosobruchus maculates. The overall analysis of the LD results shows that the effect induced on the survival of C.maculatus and T.castaneum varies considerably between the tested extracts of the species A.Belladonna. we noted that the lowest concentrations that cause 50% mortality of T. castaneum adults are 0.14 mg for ethanolic root extract and 0.2 mg/ml for for the aqueous and ethanolic Leaves extract respectively the concentrations of the extracts that cause the mortality of 50% of adults of C.maculatus., are 0.6 mg respectively for ethanolic Leaves extract and 0.72 mg/ml for the aqueous root extract. The extracts of the different organs of A. Belladonna showed very important insecticidal effects against T. castaneum.
The examination of LT50 shows that the adults of T. castaneum treated with the different extracts of Atropa belladonna have LT50 vary as a function of time. The highest LT50 is reached after 1.85 h for the ethanolic root extract. The highest LT50 for adults of C.maculatus is reached after 3.9 h for ethanolic root extract.
These results give a general idea about the bio-insecticide and to batter confirm our results we hope that our work will be followed by other complementary studies
