Abstract

summary Our study entitled "The Impact of Satellite Channels on the Cultural Identity of Youth" aims to know how and the extent of the influence of satellite channels on the cultural identity of university youth. The multiplicity of satellite channels and the diversity of their programs make Algerian youth a hostage to their attractiveness and dependence. We took the university youth segment as a sample to study from Medea University The College of Media and Communication Sciences, and this is due to the sensitivity of this age group and the ease with which it is affected, and being in the stage of building its personality and identity makes it search and underneath you with everything that is unfamiliar and forbidden, and here lies the problem of our study, which is the search for how these channels affect our youth and The extent to which their cultural identity is affected by all of this . key words : - satellite channels .
