The Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court (ICC) established a set of principles and provisions that guarantee the right to appeal, define its scope, and exercise it, within the context of adherence to fair trial standards and the rule of law. It also includes the Rules of Procedure and Evidence issued by the ICC, which address all procedural matters related to appeals before the ICC.
