Institutional communication is considered a fundamental pillar in shaping the corporate image of any organization, relying on various strategies and methods to strengthen its relationship with the public. The problem addressed in this study stems from the reality of the telecommunications company Algérie Télécom in the Wilaya of Médéa, with a focus on the role of institutional communication in building a positive image of the institution in the eyes of the external public and gaining its trust. The central research question posed was: How does institutional communication contribute to shaping the corporate image of Algérie Télécom in the Wilaya of Médéa? The objective of this study was to identify the importance of institutional communication within Algérie Télécom in the Wilaya of Médéa, by highlighting the strategies and approaches adopted to build a positive corporate image among the external public. The descriptive method was adopted, and data were collected using a questionnaire administered to a purposive sample of 100 individuals. The results indicated that institutional communication plays a crucial role in shaping the institution’s image through effective communication and the delivery of information and services. This has contributed to forming a relatively positive perception among the external public of Algérie Télécom in Médéa. In conclusion, the study’s key findings are as follows: The results revealed a general dissatisfaction among the customers of Algérie Télécom in the Médéa branch, primarily due to ineffective communication and limited availability of information about services. Interaction with customers is mostly limited to periods of technical failures, reflecting a lack of continuous engagement. There is heavy reliance on traditional communication methods such as face-to-face contact and telephone, especially among the less-educated demographic groups, while younger audiences tend to prefer digital communication tools. Employee interaction was found to be acceptable but in need of improvement in terms of professionalism and communication skills. Promotional campaigns suffer from weak reach and limited impact, reducing the institution’s ability to connect with broader segments of the population. Although the corporate image is relatively positive, it remains incomplete due to inadequate message delivery and a lack of effective mechanisms for gathering customer feedback, which in turn affects trust and loyalty. The company also faces increasing challenges, including limited communication channels and growing competition, necessitating greater efforts to enhance performance and strengthen its relationship with the public.
